Philosophy
of Education:
The educational philosophy of H.U.F.S. derives from its
initial founding spirit: ¡°Truth, Peace and Creativity.¡±
At H.U.F.S. we believe that education is the pursuit of
true knowledge; education leads to peace; and education
both depends on and develops creativity. Students are
encouraged to embrace these ideals and to cultivate a
sense of individuality and leadership in order to contribute
to the development and prosperity of the nation and the
world. Mission of HUFS:
H.U.F.S. cultivates enlightened professionals who will
build bridges between the cultures of the world. To start,
students select a major from a wide list of possible areas
of expertise, including, but not limited to: Diplomacy;
Law; A wide variety of Eastern and Western Languages;
Economics and Trade; Politics and International Relations;
the Natural Sciences; and Education, according to their
interests and future aspirations. In addition, each student
is trained in at least one additional foreign language.
This language training sensitizes students to other cultures,
and introduces them to the everyday circumstances of peoples
from other parts of the world. Students are encouraged
to investigate their major and their languages in greater
detail, preparing themselves to deal effectively in the
global marketplace. The combination of language specialization
with major specialization enhances the productivity of
our graduates in the global marketplace. We bring our
students out into the world.
